on tour in WALES

well the Irish leg of the tour is over.  I really love playing at home, it's the ideal place to shape the set.  The people there pretty much let you get on with whatever you see fit and give it to you straight if it's working or not.  Not that they critique it after the show, but if they don't like it, you'll know about it instantly.  The highlight was definitely Dundalk this time.. the Spirit Store is such a great venue, run with love and attention and the crowd were perfect...great cráic!

I was in Cardiff last night, which was another great gig.  The point.  It's a converted church with amazing acoustics and a great sound man to boot.  After the show someone gave me a lemon drizzle cake announcing "I made a chocolate one with smarties for Duke Special but I thought you were more of a lemon drizzle man..."  How right they were!  They drove from Dorset to the gig in Cardiff and the cake was shared out among everyone at the venue tonight in Swansea...  WHAT A CAKE!!!  Just what I needed.

Hi Foy, I just caught you on Imeall Geal and was quite impressed. Must be living under a rock these days, hate to admit it, but this was the first time I'd heard of you. I was quite taken by the voice and the use of loops to create layers of harmony and rhythm. It reminded me of another artist that friends introduced me to, Keller Williams. His site is http://www.kellerwilliams.net/ I lived in California for a bit, and while there I went often to the High Sierra Music Festival. It’s a small festival of around 10,000 people, but it might be something you’d be interested in performing at. Think you'd be well received and meet other great artists. You can visit their site at http://www.highsierramusic.com/ for details. Now that I know about you, I’ll be watching for you playing Galway or near by. Slan

Hi Foy, Came across you completely by chance as a support act in Dublin a year or so ago while I was on holiday and thought you were better than the main act! I was blown away by the performance that night. Saw you at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester last night and thoroughly enjoyed it again but thought you didn't seem too happy! Did the "floor sitters" (I wasn't one of them!) in the front two rows annoy you, or was it just my imagination that your comments about their numb bums were a subtle hint for them to get up off their arses?!

I had a listen to you on YouTube because the guy who plays drums iny band heard "Indiscrininate Act of Kindness" and told me it was my kind of stuff. So I bought "Hope" and "Oranges and Watermelon". I think the song and the production and the voice and everything amounts to the best stuff Ive managed to find since I first heard the "Police" all those years ago. I was at the Ruby Lounge gig on 20th Feb in Manchester. The performance absolutely blew me away and I can't wait to see you with your band. With so much talent you shouldn't need it but "GOOD LUCK" you deserve all the success you get. Do you use Boss RC 20 XL or is it some other type?
