the end of part II
Saturday, 21 April 2007
It's 02:10 on Saturday Morning and we've just finished the session. After the comiong back from the cottage I realised there was some stuff that I wanted to do but never got time, so I've been recording in my studio space in Greenwich on and off since I got back, then I booked some time in a studio in London called Intimate. We basically hired the room and not the studio, and just brought in my own mini set up. We;ve had some odd looks from the people here, what with all this lovely gear around us (grand pianos and Hammonds etc) and us sitting recording on my laptop... but hey, what ever works right.I actually recording my first album here, though it was never released, and has been sitting on my shelf for around 7 years, which makes it very interesting to be back in this space again for my debut album all these years later. When I got here, the owner handed me a box containing my masters (which means the main recordings of the album basically) on 1/4" tape... even then I loved the old school approach.
We got some good stuff the last two days... I look forward to hearing what you think it!
Anyway, it's time to go home for a good kip. Joann's making fresh pancakes in the morning with maple syrup and bacon as a wee treat for Sam and I... nyum nyum

Foy replied about 22 hours after.Hey Emma
The album will be out in July all being well... sounds like you could put one out yourself there ;)
emma replied 1 day after.Haha, maybe I could! I'd rather have your new one though... gonna be away almost all of the summer so we'll have to find a way of getting the album to me somehow...! Any chance you'll be in Glasgow soon?
